Je m’appelle Henri, depuis mon plus jeune âge, je m’intéresse à la photographie. J’avais l’habitude de suivre mon père dans le grenier, qu’il avait aménagé en chambre noire.
En 1982, après une formation à l’ACE3P, d’Ivry-sur-Seine, je travaille au Ministère de la Culture.
Suite à cinq années à L’Inventaire Général du Patrimoine, je me forme auprès de photographes publicitaire et de photographes de mode, tout en continuant parallèlement mes sujets personnels.
J’ai voyagé en Inde, au Népal, au Tibet, en Irlande du Nord, en Écosse, aux US …. Des publications sont parues dans la presse : VSD, Télé 7 Jours, La Croix, Terre Sauvage, Sciences & Avenir, Le Monde.
Photographe dans la région de Saint-Brieuc, en Bretagne, je travaille au moyen format 6×6 et à la chambre 20×25 en noir et blanc. Je développe mes films et fait mes tirages argentiques dans mon laboratoire. Avec mon appareil 8×10, je capte votre portrait, comme beaucoup le disent « à l’ancienne ». Cet appareil grand format me permet de créer une relation, un lien privilégié entre vous et moi, qui m’offre la possibilité de réaliser une photographie argentique unique, la Vôtre !
Chaque étape du processus argentique est toujours pour moi un émerveillement et une découverte, du développement du film au tirage. De plus, la chambre photographique grand format me permet de prendre notre temps, à une époque où tout va si vite !

My name is Henri, since a very young age, I have been interested in photography. I used to follow my father in the attic which had been converted into a darkroom.
In 1982, after training at the CE3P, a photography school in Ivry-sur-Seine, I worked at the Culture Ministry.
After five years at the General Inventory of Heritage, I trained with advertising and fashion photographers, while continuing my personal subjects.
I have travelled to India, Nepal, Tibet, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the US …. Publications have appeared in the press: VSD, Télé 7 Jours, La Croix, Terre Sauvage, Sciences & Avenir, Le Monde.
Photographer in the region of Saint-Brieuc, in Brittany, I work with medium format 6×6 and with a 20×25 black and white camera. I develop my films and make my silver prints in my laboratory. With my 8×10 camera, I capture your portrait, as many say « the old fashioned way ». This large format camera allows me to create a relationship, a privileged link between you and me, which offers me the possibility of making a unique silver photograph, Yours!
Each step of the silver process is always a wonder and a discovery to me, from the development of the film to the print. And on top of that, the large format view camera allows me to take our time, in this era where everything goes so quickly !
